WOAH!!! GRAMMY® NOMINATED!!! Mom and I and our amazing team are nominated for Best Choral Performance for "Requiem of Light"!!!
Our hearts are so very full!! Thank you to everyone who was involved in this project, who voted for it, who shared it and who wrote to us about it. We so truly appreciate each and every one of you and your support, your kindness and your love. It means so very much.
Congratulations to many friends who were also nominated today!! Also, to those that were not nominated - I have felt that sting of rejection and disappointment and it is really, really hard. Please know you have worked so hard and created beautiful music and that cannot be taken away. This is always about the music and your work will stand no matter what.
Most importantly, we are thankful to God for the gift of music and for this opportunity. Beauty from ashes, indeed. My first real foray into the Grammy world was with the song I wrote for my beloved Dad who was tragically killed - "I Know Your Name". The year after, Mom then was invited to become a member as well and we have been able to work together on creating beautiful choral music. In addition, having my husband, Greg, also work along side us as a producer on this project has been so special. Dad loved seeing Mom and I work together musically more than almost anything and would always say "the whole is often greater than the sum of its parts". I know he is beaming down with joy and delight as are we!!!
Thrilled to see we are named a GOLD Global Music Award Winner for our choral album, “Requiem of Light” and also a GOLD Global Music Winner for Art design!! Many thanks to the judges and to our incredible music and design team!!
Congratulations to many other deserving friends and colleagues who were named winners in their categories!!
In addition to charting #1 on iTunes, we charted #7 on Billboard with REQUIEM OF LIGHT!! We are the only independent album that has made it into the Top 10 in the past month or more!! Happy to be listed alongside Yo-Yo Ma, The London Philharmonic, Lang Lang and Daniel Barenboim.
Thank you so very much to each person who has listened, streamed, purchased and/or supported this album. We are incredibly proud of this amazing team.
So honored to have shared my voice on the GRAMMY® nominated album, “Impossible Dream” by Aaron Lazar. In life, we sometimes are faced with unimaginable circumstances and we can choose to respond with bitterness and anger or with grace and hope. This album is a testament to the latter and shines a light on how Aaron and so many people with #ALS are fighting for their lives one day at a time.
Delighted to have been named the LIT GOLD AWARD Winner for BEST CHOIR ALBUM!! Many thanks of the judges and committee. Stay tuned for more new music soon!!
Thank you for the birthday wishes!! I got to spend it having dinner with lifelong childhood friends of 30+ years in Oklahoma whilst visiting my Mama, sing a fabulous symphony show in California with wonderful colleagues (and get birthday freebies around town and a surprise visit from a friend at the show-Sarah!), and look forward to more fun times this week in New York and Florida next weekend with my boys!! The days are long, but the years are short, even for us adults. Thankful for these times, these people and making memories.
We won!! We won the World Entertainment Award for “Best Choral Music” for “Echoes of Grace”! Many thanks to the team who brought the vision of this album to life.
Delighted to have sung on Aaron Lazar’s “Impossible Dream” which was just Grammy nominated! My mom also arranged a song for the “National Children’s Chorus” on it.
TWO WORLD ENTERTAINMENT AWARD NOMINATIONS!
Delighted to have been nominated in two categories for “Best Classical Album” and “Best Choral Music” at the World Entertainment Awards for “Echoes of Grace”!!
